Single storey rear extension

The vast majority of single storey rear extensions are made to increase the size of the living area; usually an open plan kitchen/dining/living.

Some extensions are allowed under permitted development: up to 6 metres for a terraced house; 7 metres for a semi-detached house, and 8 metres for a detached house - after applying for the larger scheme.
